Okay, so today was quite a fiasco...
I was driving Halle to soccer practice (Chad was taking Ethan to his soccer practice). Kamryn was in her car seat SCREAMING her head off and Jayci was crying about being thirsty. All of the sudden, Jayci just starts vomiting all over herself and her carseat. GROSS!! Luckily, one of the other soccer moms was driving right in front of me, so I got her to pull over and had Halle get in with her.
What you need to know at this point is that Kamryn is very spoiled and loves to be held when she's awake. And not only was she awake, but remember, she was screaming!
So I wiped Jayci off a bit, but there was a lot of puke, so I got back in the car and flipped it around and headed home. On the way, I was calling people who might be able to come over and hold Kamryn because I had a huge mess to clean up. Nobody was answering! Nobody was home! I was soooo frustrated! Finally, I got a hold of my friend Amber and she came over and sat with Kamryn while I showered Jayci and cleaned out the car and hosed everything else off.
After all of that, I feel so blessed to live in a small town where the person in front of me in traffic just happens to be someone I know and just happens to be going to the same place I am and that I trust her enough to take my child. I feel blessed to know enough people that I have several people to call to come and help me. I feel blessed that (most of the time) my children are healthy and happy. But right now, I mostly feel blessed to have a washing machine to wash all of the barf off of the carseat and Jayci's clothes!
