I love the 4th of July. I think it's my favorite holiday. I love the outdoors we get to experience, along with the great food, and especially the time we get to spend with family and friends.
As in my previous post, I wrote that we go to Silverton, CO. Well, this year we didn't! I thought I would be so sad, but turns out, it was great. We decided to go to Echo Basin near Mancos, CO. It is our absolute favorite place to go because it's so kid-friendly. An added bonus would be the full hook-ups it provides for the campers. Can't complain about that!
We got to Echo Basin on Thursday afternoon, and hung out all day Friday. On Saturday, we drove up to Telluride (beautiful drive, but bring the Dramamine for motion-sick-prone passengers). There were so many activities for the kids, and, although we didn't get to see the fireworks, we definitely want to go up there within the next couple of years for the 4th.
We've also had a great visit with Chad's sister Melissa, her husband Scott, and their girls Sienna and Chelsea. They're leaving tomorrow and we're definitely going to miss them very much!
