A Life Update and FFF

Well, I've been completely swamped trying to get a new business off the ground (to learn more about that visit PathToFF.blogspot.com) so there's not much new to report. Halle's best friend Kendra is leaving tomorrow with her family to head back to South Dakota, so there was some drama there, but Halle's okay now. And I'm sure that Kendra will be too. It's very hard to say good-bye, but I'm glad that they got to spend so much time together. And now they know that, indeed, they will be able to see each other again. We weren't just saying that. Hopefully next year, we'll be able to go see the Dykstras and visit Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore and other attractions closer to them. May they have safe travels back home. We'll miss them terribly.

Tomorrow, we're planning a complete overhaul of the front yard. We plan on taking out some gravel and grass, putting the grass where the gravel was and the gravel where the grass was and making another driveway. Plus, there won't be as much grass to water, but there will still be enough grass to play in. The kids are not looking forward to helping with this (neither am I!!). Let's hope it goes smoothly! Thankfully, we have a friend who is bringing a tractor to come help move the gravel. That will make it all much easier. I'm so glad that we're finally getting it done. We've been talking about it for some time now.

And, of course, my mother reminded me that today is FFF. So, for Fab Foto Friday, I've posted a photo of Chimney Rock near Pagosa Springs, CO. Chad, Halle, and I were up that way in September 2007 and got some great shots. If you ever are near there, I would highly recommend stopping there and taking a tour. It's seasonal, I think April-September. The views are amazing and the history of the people are even more awesome.

  2. It's not looking quite so FAB yet, but soon. We need to buy some gravel and such. I feel so lucky to be able to afford the "after" pictures. I mean, really, who just wants a bunch of "befores"?
